FROM THE BUILDER
This is the fence from my own backyard. We were losing half the garden to rabbits every summer, so I designed a fence that stops the critters without hiding the garden behind a wall of pickets.
The plans are drawn per section, so the same drawings work whether your garden is 10 feet or 100 feet around. Post spacing, gate hardware, wire stretching, solar post cap wiring, it is all in there.
If you have ever set a fence post you can build this. If you never have, the plans start with how to dig and set your first one.
GOOD QUESTIONS
Will this really keep deer out?
At 42 inches it stops rabbits, dogs and most groundhogs cold. For heavy deer pressure the plans include a taller post option that takes the wire to 6 feet.
How much lumber do I need?
The plans include a per section materials table. Count your sections, multiply, and the lumber yard list writes itself.
