TOOLS YOU NEED
FROM THE BUILDER
These are the beds behind the fence in the garden videos. Cedar sides, simple corner posts, no fancy joinery, and they have shrugged off frost heave and soaked soil without a creak.
The drawings scale. Build the full 8 by 4, cut it down to a 4 by 4 for a patio, or stretch a row of them along a fence line. Same corners, same cut logic.
GOOD QUESTIONS
Cedar or pressure treated?
The plans are drawn for cedar because it is food safe and lasts. There is a note on using ground contact pressure treated for the base frame if budget is tight.
